Through live events, televised storytelling and international appearances, REW has helped give Pakistani professional wrestling a platform at home and beyond.

Revolution Eastern Wrestling: Bringing Pakistani Talent to the Professional Wrestling Stage

Revolution Eastern Wrestling, widely known as REW, is a Karachi-based professional wrestling promotion whose documented activities span live shows, championship competition, television programming and international appearances. Combining athletic performance with character-driven entertainment, the company has contributed to the visibility of Pakistani wrestlers in a developing local industry. Its official website describes REW as a Pakistan-based wrestling, sports, media and entertainment company dedicated to growing professional wrestling.

At the centre of that story are performers who have worked to turn their enthusiasm for wrestling into opportunities for local audiences and aspiring talent. The Kovu Brandon is among the personalities closely associated with REW’s development. A December 2020 episode of The AJ Khan Show identifies him as a co-founder and explores his ambition to pursue professional wrestling while creating opportunities for future athletes. Mustafa Ali Khan, known in the ring as XMAK, is another prominent figure: The News International identified him as REW’s CEO in its coverage of Wrestle Max III in May 2024.

Building an Audience Through Live Wrestling.

Live events have been an important part of REW’s public presence. Its shows have brought championship matches, rivalries and recognisable wrestling personalities to venues in Karachi, allowing audiences to experience locally produced professional wrestling in person.

One notable example is The Huge Pakistan Clash at Karachi’s People’s Square. WrestleMap’s retrospective described an outdoor event featuring multiple championship contests and a headline rivalry between Jordan Hurr and The Kovu Brandon. The publication reported a management-estimated attendance of approximately 4,000 to 5,000 people—a figure attributed to the organisers rather than an independently audited count. The event illustrates REW’s ambition to present wrestling as a public entertainment attraction with a distinctly Pakistani identity.

REW’s Summer Smash at Atrium Mall offered another example of that approach. WrestleMap documented a programme featuring singles contests, championship defences and a faction-based main event involving Team XMAK and Traitorx. Presenting wrestling in a shopping mall also placed the promotion in front of visitors who might encounter the spectacle beyond its established fan base.

Taking the Story Beyond the Venue

REW’s activities have extended beyond live attendance through its Venus War programme. WrestleMap’s reporting described the series as the first Pakistani-made professional wrestling show to air on television in Pakistan. Its episode coverage documented interviews, continuing rivalries and championship storylines, demonstrating an effort to build an ongoing wrestling programme rather than a collection of isolated matches.

That television and video output also connected REW’s domestic audience with its international appearances. In January 2022, WrestleMap reported that REW had released matches from a Nepal Women’s Wrestling Foundation event through Venus War. The featured bouts included The Kovu Brandon competing against Nepali Bro and Sneha Thapa, alongside Jordan Hurr facing Thagu. These documented appearances provide concrete examples of REW-associated wrestlers performing beyond Pakistan.

Earning Wider Media Attention

REW has also received coverage outside specialist wrestling publications. On 8 May 2024, The News International reported on Wrestle Max III in Karachi, naming performers including The Kovu Brandon, XMAK, Hawk Berg, Ahmed Boyka, Noom and Talha Ali. The report highlighted the event’s championship talent and identified REW’s leadership among those presenting prizes. Such coverage places the promotion within Pakistan’s wider sports and entertainment conversation.

Taken together, REW’s documented live events, television programming and overseas appearances show a promotion working to establish a sustained platform for Pakistani professional wrestling. Its significance lies in giving local performers a stage, developing stories audiences can follow and bringing Pakistani wrestling into contact with the wider regional scene.

For supporters, REW offers the opportunity to follow wrestling personalities connected to their own cities and communities. For the industry, its record presents an example of how locally produced wrestling can build visibility through a combination of live performance, media distribution and international participation.
