The Championship That Crossed Borders.

The REW Pakistan Championship carried a remarkable international chapter when its 24/7-rule identity connected it with wrestlers working on the American independent scene and in All Elite Wrestling. During this period the title was referred to as the REW Pakistan 24/7 Championship, and was also described in REW storytelling as the Pakistan Ultimate Championship. Unlike a traditional title defended exclusively at REW events, this championship could change hands through unexpected pinfalls, submissions and surprise challenges outside a scheduled REW show.
The following wrestlers are recognized here as honorary REW alumni through their championship connection. None of these eight individuals is represented as having physically competed at an REW event. Their individual stories explain how their names became part of the international championship lineage.

01 Wes Warren

Wes Warren entered REW championship lore through an encounter at Loko Wrestling, where he captured the REW Pakistan Championship. His victory gave the title an American independent-wrestling connection and set the stage for its most unexpected change of hands.
Warren’s reign ended when a hooded, masked challenger scored a surprise pinfall. The mystery winner was subsequently revealed as AEW wrestler Sammy Guevara, turning what had begun as a Loko Wrestling title story into a crossover involving a widely recognized television star. Warren did not physically appear at an REW event, but his place in the title’s international journey makes him an honorary REW alumnus.

02 Sammy Guevara

Sammy Guevara, the Houston-born high-flyer known for his explosive aerial offense and his work in All Elite Wrestling, became part of REW’s international title story while under contract with AEW. Disguised in a mask and hoodie, Guevara pinned Wes Warren to seize the REW Pakistan 24/7 Championship before revealing his identity.
The reveal gave the championship a striking crossover moment: a recognizable AEW talent had won a Pakistan-branded title through the unpredictable 24/7 rule without wrestling on an REW card. Guevara’s reign ended when veteran Dean Malenko forced him to submit. His inclusion as an honorary alumnus reflects this championship reign, not an in-person REW appearance.

03 Dean Malenko

On 12 August 2020 (contemporaneous reporting; some DDT lists date the related change 13 August)
Dean Malenko built his reputation as one of wrestling’s great technical specialists, famous for a calm, calculating style and formidable submission holds. His legacy includes major championship runs in ECW, WCW and WWE, followed by a backstage role with AEW.
Malenko added an unusual international title to his story when he forced Sammy Guevara to tap out and captured the REW Pakistan 24/7 Championship. During the same period, he also won DDT’s Ironman Heavymetalweight title from Joey Janela, bringing the two championships into a shared 24/7 storyline. His reign ended when Orange Cassidy caught him off guard with a pinfall. Malenko is honored as an REW championship alumnus, without any claim that he competed in an REW ring.

04 Orange Cassidy

On 7 October 2020
Orange Cassidy became famous for his relaxed, almost effortless manner, often appearing to treat the chaos of professional wrestling with complete indifference before suddenly displaying sharp timing and impressive athleticism. His distinctive character made him one of AEW’s most recognizable personalities.
Cassidy’s laid-back instincts proved perfectly suited to a championship governed by 24/7 rules. He pinned Dean Malenko while the veteran was sleeping and took possession of the REW Pakistan 24/7 Championship alongside the DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight title. His reign ended when Joey Janela used a similar surprise tactic to pin him later that month. Cassidy’s REW alumni recognition comes solely from the international championship lineage.

05 Joey Janela

On 29 October 2020 for the REW-linked victory (some DDT histories list 28 October)
Joey Janela, nicknamed the Bad Boy, built a following through a fearless, unpredictable independent-wrestling career, with appearances in Game Changer Wrestling and AEW. His willingness to turn ordinary moments into chaotic wrestling situations made him a natural participant in the 24/7 championship world.
Janela pinned Orange Cassidy while Cassidy was asleep, capturing the REW Pakistan 24/7 Championship and DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight title. His reign led to a memorable gesture: after Jungle Boy defeated him in an AEW Dark match, Janela handed both championships to Jungle Boy as recognition of that victory. Janela’s connection to REW is that of an international titleholder, not an REW event performer.

06 Jungle Boy (Jack Perry)

On 10 November 2020
Jungle Boy, now also known as Jack Perry, rose to prominence in AEW as an athletic young star whose fast-paced offense and partnership with Luchasaurus made him a standout of the promotion’s early years. His career developed from an emerging prospect into a major AEW television presence.
After defeating Joey Janela on AEW Dark, Jungle Boy received the REW Pakistan 24/7 Championship and the DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship when Janela voluntarily passed the titles to him the following day. The unusual transfer showed that this championship’s story could move through both matches and theatrical gestures. Jungle Boy’s reign was short: Marko Stunt pinned him the next day. He is listed as honorary REW alumni through that titleholding moment.

07 Marko Stunt

On 11 November 2020
Marko Stunt became known to wrestling audiences for his small stature, fearless energy and underdog spirit. His association with Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus in AEW gave him a place in one of the company’s popular early groups.
Stunt turned his proximity to Jungle Boy into a surprise championship opportunity. Under the 24/7 rule, he pinned Jungle Boy and claimed both the REW Pakistan 24/7 Championship and DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight title. His reign ended the same day when Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. pinned him. Although his titleholding moment was brief, it secured his name in the international REW championship story without an in-person REW appearance.

08 Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.

On 11 November 2020
Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. combined her real-life profession as a dentist with a confident, outspoken wrestling persona and became a central figure in AEW’s women’s division. Her character work and rivalry-driven performances helped establish her as one of the promotion’s best-known female wrestlers.
Baker entered the REW Pakistan 24/7 Championship lineage by pinning Marko Stunt, winning the Pakistan-branded championship alongside DDT’s Ironman Heavymetalweight title. Her reign extended the story across divisions and demonstrated the open nature of the 24/7 rule. In the subsequent DDT title lineage, the Young Bucks’ autobiography became an unconventional champion after falling onto Baker while she slept. Baker is recognized as honorary REW alumni because of her championship victory, not because she appeared physically in REW.
